My name is Ashton Macaulay, and I’m currently living in Seattle. I’ve been writing all my life, and after many burned manuscripts, and mountains of edits, I’m gearing up to publish my first book, Whiteout, under the Abberant Literature banner.
Throughout my life I have always been inspired by bringing an irreverent sense of humor to those topics that often frighten or sadden us. In an age filled with plenty of non-fiction to keep us grounded, I’m trying to create literature that transports readers away to the big adventure novels of old, and pokes fun at just about everything that goes bump in the night.
Last year I published my first short story, a humorous look at what happens when the ghost of a depressed writer decides to haunt a dreary, old New Orleans hotel for kicks. Diary of a Dead Man is available in Abberant Literature Volume 3, currently for sale on Amazon. Later this year, my second short story, a science fiction story about the implications of mental time-travel, will be published in Abberant Literature Volume 4. Finally, in late 2017, or early 2018, I plan on publishing my first full novel, Whiteout, detailing the drunken misadventures of Nick Ventner, a monster hunter who ends up tracking a yeti through the Himalayas.
